The Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) is responsible for distributing nearly £4.5 billion a year for teaching and research in universities and colleges in England.

We are seeking an experienced project manager to manage the Unistats website (unistats.direct.gov.uk). You will be responsible for the Unistats contract, which HEFCE manages on behalf of the UK higher education funding bodies. You will plan and ensure delivery of the annual cycle of data collection, be responsible for day-to-day contact with the Unistats contract holder, liaise with a range of stakeholders and drive a programme of development of the site. You will be part of a small team, and will have some line management responsibility. The post requires someone with strong project management skills, and good knowledge of the UK higher education sector. The post would suit someone with experience of managing complex projects or someone with a background in data collection or with knowledge of IT.
