Situated in the heart of Croydon, there is a rich heritage of creative education at Croydon College with alumni including Malcolm McLaren, John Rocha and Lucienne Day. In the recently established School of Art and Design we currently have over 800 students studying from Level 1 to Honours level, and this is an excellent opportunity for a technical specialist with sound management and curriculum experience to work closely with FE and HE curriculum managers to deliver the technical curriculum and assessment processes.

As Technical Services Manager you will be a member of the School of Art and Design management team. You will manage the physical and technical resources with responsibility for 8.4 full-time equivalent technician demonstrator staff with a range of technical specialisms’ including 3D, digital media, print, and ICT. You will also be expected to deliver a technical specialism.

You will have significant experience of managing people and building collaborative relationships. It is essential that the successful candidate has a willingness to work flexibly and creatively, with a strong student focus and is able to take responsibility for health and safety, risk assessment, budget and stock control.
