The Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) is responsible for distributing nearly £4.5 billion a year for teaching and research in universities and colleges in England.
We are looking to recruit a Higher Education Policy Advisers (HEPAs); 1 fixed term position for 23 months. The role will focus on the following:
Review of Provision of Information (fixed term for 23 months). We are seeking someone with strong organisational skills and an interest in developing policy to support the work of a review of the provision of information about higher education (HE) in the UK. The post will involve servicing several committees and assisting with the running of consultancy contracts, liaison with a wide range of UK stakeholders and the chance to contribute to the future shape of information about HE. The successful post holder will be part of a small team managing the work of a multi-strand UK-wide project which HEFCE runs on behalf of the UK higher education funding bodies. You will have a background in policy or higher education, and ideally have some experience of student surveys or other instruments by which information about HE is provided to the wider public. Some experience of project management would be useful.
