The Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) is responsible for distributing nearly £4.5 billion a year for teaching and research in universities and colleges in England.
We are looking to recruit two Higher Education Policy Advisers (HEPAs); 1 permanent position. The role will focus on the following:
Provision of information, including managing student surveys for enhancement purposes (permanent post). We are looking for a motivated and organised person with a strong interest in policy to support the work of HEFCE's Learning and Teaching Policy Team in the area of the provision of information about higher education (HE). With a background in either HE or policy, you will contribute to a fast-moving programme of work developing policy around information for post-graduate students, and a range of other policy initiatives. You will also support the delivery of the National Student Survey, taking the lead in some aspects of the work. Alongside your ability to communicate with people at all levels, this is likely to include significant amounts of writing, for committees and a range of audiences, and committee servicing. You will be very well-organised and self-motivated, be capable of working on your own initiative and preferably have experience of working in a UK HE provider.
