Research and Training Technician

Full time, fixed term maternity cover (6 months) Salary is in the range £22,306 to £26,183 per annum inclusive of London Allowance

Applications are invited for the post of Research and Teaching Technician in the School of Biological Sciences in a RAE grade 5 rated research-led Department.

The School of Biological Sciences requires an enthusiastic School Technician with a sound knowledge of relevant scientific procedures. This position will provide technical support for undergraduate practical teaching and support research activities primarily in the Centre for Biomedical Sciences, as well as responsibility for the care and maintenance of laboratories and associated facilities. 

Previous experience of working in a teaching or research laboratory is essential, and the candidate must have the ability to interact effectively with all members of the School.

This is a full time post, immediately available or as soon as possible thereafter. This post is based in Egham, Surrey where the College is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London.  

This is a fixed term post to cover a period of maternity leave for approximately 6 months until 6th December 2013.

This appointment could end earlier than expected should the substantive post-holder return to work early.
