You will collaborate with the Principal Investigator, Dr. Paul Levy, on the EPSRC supported project on “Varieties of Modules and Representations of Frobenius Kernels of Reductive Groups”.
Lancaster University has a thriving Pure Mathematics research group with eight staff in Analysis, including three professors and one senior lecturer, and six staff in Algebra, including one professor and one senior lecturer.
You should have, or be close to completing, a PhD in Pure Mathematics. Preference will be given to the candidates specializing in algebraic groups and Lie algebras, or module varieties and representations of algebras. Informal enquiries can be addressed to Dr.Paul Levy (p.d.levy@lancaster.ac.uk).
