An exciting opportunity is available for a Director to join the Centre of Health Policy within the Institute of Global Health Innovation based at the South Kensington Campus.
The Peter Sowerby Foundation Forum at the Institute of Global Health Innovation (IGHI) will show how improvements should be made to bring GP and hospital information together to provide greater opportunities for improvement in care, service delivery and healthcare research, bearing in mind likely future developments in phenome and genome science. It will support the work of a time-limited Commission specifically established to consider and propose how such improvements should be made and exploited. It will undertake leading edge research into health data to improve care. The Forum will advocate the implementation of the Commission’s proposals nationally and pursue them locally, to improve patient care.
The Director of the Peter Sowerby Forum will be responsible for the management of the Forum and the quality and delivery of its agreed output and will be expected to drive forward the work of the Forum, deliver compelling analysis working with clinicians, represent its activities and become an acknowledged leader in the field both nationally and internationally.
As a senior member of the team you will be an experienced leader, provide a clear vision and effective leadership for the Forum. You will have knowledge and experience of analysing and working with health data and a clear understanding of the structure of the NHS and current relevant IT developments. You will possess the ability to undertake first class analysis and to present it in a compelling and understandable way.
This post is full time and fixed term for 3 years, and will be based at the South Kensington Campus.
