Ovarian Cancer Action

Salary Range: £41,830 - £42,960 per annum

A position is available to provide maternity cover for the Ovarian Cancer Action Science and Business Manager. The purpose of this position is to provide management support for the Ovarian Cancer Action Research Centre, Imperial College London. The post holder will help deal with the current administrative duties, and facilitate the scientific and infrastructural development of the centre, allowing the researchers to focus on the research.

Based within a five star research institute equipped with the latest technologies and facilities, the position is funded by Ovarian Cancer Action.

The successful candidate will support the Director in managing all business issues coming to and emanating from the Research Centre, at the interface with Imperial College London, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and Ovarian Cancer Action (OCA), as well as externally. The responsibilities will include support for research activities, financial management, human resources, promotional and educational activities.

Applicants should have a PhD or equivalent in a Life Science discipline, experience of working in a research environment, and experience of scientific administration. Applicants should be motivated, well organised and able to work effectively as part of a team.

It is a full time post for a fixed term for 9 months, and will be based at Hammersmith campus, East Acton.
