Faculty Position in Southeast Asian History

The School of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, invites qualified academics to apply for a tenure-track faculty position as Assistant Professor in Southeast Asian history with an emphasis on the Malay world, cross-country comparisons, connectedness between regions, social and reform movements, or the history of religious movements.

Candidates should possess a Ph.D. and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in research as well as teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The successful candidate will be involved in developing the teaching and research fields related to Southeast Asian history in the University’s newly established History programme. He or she will also offer undergraduate and postgraduate courses that address the history of Southeast Asia from global and comparative perspectives.
