Trans-generational impacts on senescence; Quantitative genetics of cellular and organismal ageing in the wild

£30,424 to £36,298 per annum                                                                 

The postholder will join a NERC funded research project using the long-term dataset and pedigree available for the Seychelles warbler to investigate the strength of trans-generational effects on cellular senescence - and their consequences for individual ageing and fitness in the wild. The candidate will undertake molecular assays (e.g. qPCRs on telomeres) and the management and analysis of large and complex databases, including aspects of quantitative genetics.

You must have a relevant PhD and fulfil all essential elements of the person specification. This full time post is available from September 2013 for a period of three years.
