The University of Strathclyde is pursuing a number of strategies to enhance and develop its local and international reputation. Attracting the best students from the UK and from overseas is a key element of this strategy as is the development of long-term partnerships with overseas partners and agents.
Strathclyde is seeking to recruit a new Recruitment Officer (International) to join the Recruitment and International Office.
The post will offer a confident self-starter the opportunity to make a strong contribution to the University’s recruitment of international students. Qualified to degree-level (or equivalent) and with excellent written and verbal communication skills, you will represent the University to potential students and advisers. Applications from candidates with experience of student recruitment within the UK HE sector are particularly welcome.
The post-holder will be expected to develop and maintain contacts and participate in activities related to international recruitment, primarily in Africa and the Middle East. This will include participation in overseas visits and exhibitions. It is also expected that the post holder will build and maintain relationships with a broad range of stakeholders to further the aims and objectives of the University. Additionally the post holder will contribute to office-based projects and some of the work will be to support Academic Departments and enhance the efforts of RIO as a whole in developing a good relationship with those who are interested in the University of Strathclyde as a place to study.
Note: Due to travel restrictions in some markets in Africa and the Middle East, this post will involve UK base based promotions and some overseas travel.
