Salary £28,200 - £32,100 per annum

Imperial College London is seeking to recruit three Research Technicians. These positions are sponsored by the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (www.iavi.org) and will be based at the IAVI London Human Immunology Laboratory (HIL), at the Chelsea & Westminster Hospital. The HIL is a GCLP accredited laboratory, which conducts and supports Phase I/II clinical trials of AIDS vaccine candidates in partnership with research centres across the world.

You will play a key role in providing a high standard of service in the support of clinical trials.  This will include the receipt, processing, immunological analysis and storage of clinical trial samples.

You should have a Bachelor degree or equivalent in a biological or related field, or equivalent vocational qualification and/or equivalent laboratory experience.  Experience in processing blood and/or mucosal samples and in immunological assessments of clinical trial samples (including but not limited to ELISpot, flow cytometry and ELISA) would be desirable.  Previous experience with GCLP and Quality control are also desirable.

Two posts are full-time, fixed-term for 8 months in the first instance.

One post is maternity cover, full-time for 8 months.
