Salary £37,382 - £53,186 per annum (the salary range includes a market pay supplement)
This is a challenging opportunity to support the achievement of the University’s Strategic Framework for 2020. As Head of Planning you will take a leading role in the development and operation of planning systems and the timely delivery of business critical information to external stakeholders such as HEFCE/HESA and internal customers such as the Finance Department and the Academic Schools.
You will have a major role in providing high quality data information which will underpin University strategic and operational plans. In addition you will provide advice and support to the University planning cycle and lead the preparation of returns to government agencies (e.g. HEFCE and HESA) which concern student numbers and associated funding, as well as acting as the key advisor to University senior management team on these returns.
The ideal candidate will be a graduate with a solid track record of successfully managing a strategic planning and data analysis function within a Higher Education environment. You will have significant demonstrable experience of co-ordinating and compiling HEFCE/HESA returns. You must have excellent analytical skills, the ability to present statistical information as well as a good working knowledge of management information systems. An excellent organiser with a well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, you should be able to lead a team and build effective working relationships at all levels of the organisation.
