The University now seeks to appoint a Professor of Leadership and International Strategic Development in Higher Education. This Chair will be a part of a newly created Centre for Education Systems Development based in the School of Education.

The vision of the School is to undertake world-leading research and to provide an intellectually stimulating learning environment that benefits culture, society and the economy. The mission of the Centre is to be at the forefront of Higher Education systems development, thereby forming international partnerships and generating a deeper understanding of education systems across the globe.

The post is expected to make a major leadership contribution to the strategic research themes of the School, comprising:

  • Creativity, Culture and Faith;
  • Interdisciplinary Science Education, Technologies and Learning;
  • Professional Learning and Leadership;
  • Pedagogy, Policy and Practice;
  • Social Justice, Place and Lifelong Learning.
