The Department of Health Sciences at York is a large and successful provider of healthcare education and research.
We are looking for an energetic and innovative individual to join our team of lecturers in Department of Health Sciences at York. This is an opportunity to engage in a wide range of educational activities principally developing Continuous Professional Development (CPD) opportunities for local health services staff in collaboration with our local service stakeholders. The main focus of the role will be to develop CPD provision for non-medical prescribing, medicines management and to develop other CPD provision in response to local demands. In addition, you will be expected to contribute to the delivery and development of our existing pre registration and postgraduate nursing provision and help devise new postgraduate courses.
You will be registered with the nursing and midwifery council, have experience in nurse education and an interest in innovative approaches to teaching. This might include situated learning, e-learning/distance learning or multi-professional education. You will also be expected to develop and maintain practice links within appropriate service areas.
This is a full time, fixed term post for two years in the first instance and salary will be within the range £36,298 - £44,607 per annum. Job share and part-time applications will be considered.
