The National Institute for Health Research Cancer Research Network (NCRN) provides a world-class health service infrastructure to support cancer research in England and is part of the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). The NCRN Coordinating Centre (CC) is responsible for the development and overall management of the NCRN, with offices in Leeds and London.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual with experience in clinical research coordination, to provide high level and diverse administrative support to a dynamic and highly successful national initiative. You will manage all administrative aspects of the NCRN commercial portfolio and database on behalf of the NCRN CC. As a key member of the NCRN Industry team, you will provide high level support on commercial clinical trials and links with UK Pharmaceutical companies, providing advice on the national strategy to bring commercial research into the NIHR Clinical Research Network Portfolio.

This post has a broad remit and will include a significant level of liaison with pharmaceutical company representatives (UK & International), local Research Network Managers and clinical key opinion leaders across the UK. The timely collection and follow up of data and information will also be an essential part of this post.

With relevant experience in the field of clinical trials administration and coordination, and the Microsoft Office Suite you will have effective communication and organisational skills. Familiarity with database systems is essential.

Although based in Leeds, you will operate in a national framework and some travel may be necessary.

This full time post is available fixed term until 31 March 2015.

University Grade 6 (£24,766 - £29,541 p.a.) depending upon qualifications and relevant experience.
