HR System Adviser

Your main responsibilities will be to assist the HR Systems & Improvement Manager and provide support to all system users. In addition you will carry out ongoing maintenance of the HR/payroll system and other HR systems, e.g. Vacancy Management System (VMS) and Staffing Authorisation System (SAF).
You will support the timely implementation and ongoing development of the HR information system (Midland Itrent) to support legislative changes such as Real Time Information reporting to HMRC (RTI) and Auto-enrolment into workplace pensions. You will develop and maximize system functionality to enhance the on-line provision of services for both employees and managers. Current developments include web enabling HR and payroll processes such as online sickness absence recording and online Professional Development Reviews. You will also be required to develop and run Management Information reports to ensure the needs of our customers are met.
You should be educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject matter i.e. HR or IT or equivalent extensive relevant experience as detailed below with demonstrable experience of maintaining and configuring business applications and/or the development and implementation of software.
You will have experience of delivering support to end users by phone, in person and through training interventions, proven diagnostic skills and a background in use of reporting tools with the ability to produce relevant management information reports. You must have excellent interpersonal skills, be an effective communicator and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is essential.
