The School of Health Sciences is seeking to appoint a Research Fellow on a 6 month contract on a research project funded by London Cancer in conjunction with UCL Partners: Development and evaluation of a cancer awareness campaign in Camden. An immediate start is required.
You will join an established and expanding team of researchers within Health Services Research and will work collaboratively with colleagues at UCL Partners, Camden Clinical Commissioning Group and London Cancer.
This is a continuing contract, funding for 6 months
Responsibilities
The post-holder will:
- Develop and maintain relationships with local community groups and primary care practices in Camden.
- Assist in the preparation of Ethics and Research Development submissions
- Prepare and systematically test campaign materials
- Carry out a literature review
- Write critical, evidence-based analyses within the area
- Participate in administrative functions and meetings within the Division as appropriate
Person Specification
The Research Associate will have:
- Obtained a First degree in Psychology or a related discipline
- A PhD in an appropriate discipline
- Experience of collaborative working with clinicians in primary care settings and local community groups
- Experience of preparing and managing questionnaire administration and data collection
- Competence in quantitative and qualitative research methods and analysis
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Effective written and verbal communications skills
- A co-operative and collegial working style with excellent social and interpersonal skills
