Job Summary

Fixed term for 12 months from 1 August 2013 or as soon as possible thereafter

The School seeks to hire a fixed-term Lecturer in the field of History of Science, broadly construed to include history of medicine and history of technology. It arises from the award of a British Academy Mid-Career Fellowship to Professor Gregory Radick.

Your duties will incorporate undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, some thesis supervision, and some non-teaching administrative duties.

With a completed PhD thesis in an area related to History of Science, you will have a research record in History of Science and teaching experience that are commensurate with career stage. You will have the ability to make an outstanding contribution to the research activities of the Centre for History and Philosophy of Science, and to the research life of the School in general.

Please upload at least one sample of your research that has either already been published, or that will be published by December 2013.
