Job Summary
Reporting into the Learning and Development Lead, the Learning and Development Manager (Regulation and Safeguarding) will have responsibility for designing and delivering solutions that will build the capacity and capability of our workforce to support the achievement of organisational objectives and priority themes.
The NIHR Clinical Research Network (CRN) is a national organisation, funded by the Department of Health, with responsibility for setting up and managing Networks across the NHS to increase clinical research activity and participation. The workforce is critical to achieving this ambition and they require the skills and competencies to deliver research effectively and efficiently.
The primary purpose of this role is to identify, implement and evaluate end-to-end, high value learning and development solutions that support the delivery of the CRN business. You will work with subject matter experts, managers and workforce development and training leads from across the CRN to design both in-house and expert third party solutions to meet specific learning objectives.
The CRN offers an established programme of high quality, credible regulation and safeguarding training currently focused on Good Clinical Practice (GCP). This role will contribute to the maintenance and further development of the GCP programme and the development of new programmes, such as informed consent and appropriate use of personal information in clinical research. The enthusiasm and experience to design and deliver high value learning and development solutions which support behavioural change and the application of regulation and safeguarding standards in practice is essential. This experience may have been gained in a clinical research environment or other sectors in which compliance with regulatory or safeguarding requirements is essential.

The posts are similar, though experience and expertise related to the specific focus of each post is essential. University Grade 7 (£30,424 - £36,298 p.a) dependent on skills & experience
