The US-UK Fulbright Commission is now accepting applications for its 2017-18 Executive Master of Public Administration Award at NYU Wagner.
This award provides a career-development opportunity for a British mid-career professional to pursue a semester in the US as part of the jointly run Global EMPA with University College London. The Fulbright Award semester will be spent at New York University's Wagner Graduate School of Public Service in New York City and will take place during the autumn.
Applicants to the Global EMPA at NYU Wagner and University College London should have at least 7 years of management-level experience, and be either a rising leader, or already in an executive position. They should also display a strong research background, demonstrable ambassadorial skills, an interest in extracurricular activities, and a desire to further the Fulbright programme.
The Fulbright-NYU Wagner Award offers the following benefits:
- A stipend of $12,500 for the autumn semester
- A tuition fees waiver for the semester spent at NYU Wagner
- A number of memberships
- Visa sponsorship
- Substantial pre-departure support, including a Finalists Workshop (March) and a 2-day Orientation Programme (July)
- Once on-the-ground in the US, further support is offered by the Council for the International Exchange of Scholars (CIES)
- Membership of an extensive Fulbright Alumni network after grant completion
Applicants must be a UK citizen (resident anywhere) and hold or expect to obtain a minimum 2:1 honours undergraduate degree or the equivalent. Those who hold or who are eligible to hold US citizenship, or who are resident in the US at the time of application, may not apply for an Award from the US-UK Fulbright Commission.
