About Us:

Aspire is a new brand under the established Global University Systems group. We are launching a new programme of vocational courses across the UK, starting in Birmingham and Manchester and have a range of opportunities for freelance tutors in the information and technology professions to support our growing faculty. We are currently looking for Tutors/Lecturers with experience of delivering Level 3 diploma in information and technology.

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Designing the content or learning materials within existing frameworks and making appropriate modifications.
  • Providing support, advice and information to staff, students and external institutions as and when requested.
  • Monitoring progress and using student data for continuous improvement.
  • Making contact with students and other staff to explore their needs, to gain feedback and to assess ways in which the teaching/service could be better adapted to meet requirements.
  • Delivering high quality teaching using contemporary learning and teaching methods and activities to engage with a diverse student population.


  • Undergraduate and Postgraduate degrees in a relevant discipline and a teaching qualification supported by extensive professional/teaching experience
  • Professional qualification in your specialist area
  • Doctorate in the relevant area. Recognised teaching qualification i.e. PGCE, PTLLS, DTTLS are desirable.
  • Experience teaching in a Further Education college.
  • Experience teaching Home, EU and international students.
  • High grades in qualifications.
  • Offering students one to one support with the course.
  • Professional training in your given area 
  • Good subject knowledge.
  • Understanding of equal opportunities.
  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly and simply to a variety of groups.
  • Knowledge of teaching and learning strategies leading to effective planning to raise standards
