Salary: £49,230 to £58,754 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

Together the Faculty of Engineering and Food Sciences Division in the School of Biosciences have secured a £1.4M investment to develop a master’s level programme in Food Process Engineering.

As part of this development we are seeking to appoint a course director to promote the programme globally, provide subject leadership and to ensure delivery of the highest quality student experience.

Applicants should have an first-hand knowledge and experience of the food process industry and be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills. The successful candidates will lead a team of staff to deliver the programmes and will be expected to travel overseas to promote the courses and recruit high quality students.

Successful candidates will be committed to delivering the highest quality learning experience to our undergraduate and postgraduate students. Candidates must have a PhD or equivalent in an Engineering discipline or closely related science subject. OR equivalent extensive professional/research experience and have industrial experience in the food process industries.

This full-time post will be offered on a permanent contract.
