As Academic Development Manager you will be responsible for the support and development of teachers based in our Accredited Partner Centres across the full portfolio of NCC Education’s qualifications and teaching and learning programmes. Our qualifications span school age through to Master’s degree in Business, Computing and English Language. You will support the initial accreditation and induction of Accredited Partners Centres and then monitor and support their on-going compliance with NCC Education Academic Regulations and the requirements set out by the Qualifications and Higher Education Regulators in the region.
You will ideally have extensive experience of supporting teachers in the delivery of regulated qualifications and preparation for summative assessment, ideally in an international context. The ability to successfully manage the design, development and delivery of teaching and learning materials delivered both online and face to face is essential. Experience of unit writing, assigning credit and levels is highly desirable as is teaching experience.
Academic Development Managers work largely autonomously but with support from colleagues, departments and contractors who are based in various locations (UK and overseas) so a strong track record in effectively coordinating multiple projects and matrix management of people is essential.
The ability to work with large data sets, analysing performance and extracting trends and identifying development plans and actions for teachers is essential.
Experience of delivering training and professional development content to a range of stakeholders is essential as this role also requires the ability to provide exceptional qualification training and support to both internal and external customers.
We are particularly keen to hear from you if you have experience in any of the primary and/or secondary schools sector, foundation programmes for access to Higher Education or International Higher Education sectors. You may be working or have recently worked for a Further or Higher Education institution, Awarding Organisation, Training Provider or public sector education body or charity.
You must be self-motivated, with excellent inter-personal and communication skills, be dynamic, organised and passionate about education. You must be qualified to at least degree level, preferably in a business, computing or management related area. You must be fluent is spoken and written English and must be willing to travel extensively within the Europe and South America region on a regular basis.
