The University of Bradford School of Pharmacy is appointing. The successful applicant will join the vibrant Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics Research Group led by Professor Tim Palmer, aimed at defining, understanding and exploiting therapeutic targets in important disease areas. We seek applicants who will take a proactive role in helping us build on our capacity in translational sciences to achieve our research potential. You will have the potential to develop an externally-funded research programme and work collaboratively to bring your research goals to successful fruition. You will have or be developing a research track record as demonstrated by publications and have clear plans to secure external research funding to realise your own and the school's potential.
Whilst people working in any therapeutic area will be considered, we particularly welcome applicants applying translational approaches to develop new therapeutic strategies in cardiovascular diseases or in neuroprotection.
The postholder will have the desire and aptitude to contribute to the delivery of integrated cross-disciplinary teaching to Pharmacy undergraduate programme. The successful applicant will have teaching experience, ideally from teaching Pharmacy students, and be keen to make a significant contribution to developing new course provision in areas of pharmacology and/or neuroscience. You will be willing and enthusiastic in developing your teaching skills to help us deliver our innovative, integrated Pharmacy curriculum that uses Team Based Learning.
