We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic research technician to join our Viral Hepatitis/Alcohol Group. You will play a key role in laboratory based studies aimed to identify novel therapeutic targets for chronic liver disease.
Experience/skills required: Minimum of MSc degree in a biological or a related scientific discipline is required. The candidate must also have at least a year’s experience of aseptic techniques, handling infectious human samples and immunological techniques such as flow cytometry.
The technician must show initiative, willingness to quickly acquire new skills/responsibilities and be a team player. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently are essential to succeed in this position, as are good communication and organizational skills.
Must be flexible and willing to work evenings and weekends.
The post will be funded for 1 year initially with a possibility of extension.
