Imperial College Business School offers a diverse and vibrant environment in which to work. Located in the heart of South Kensington, the School delivers world-class business education and research.
Applications are invited for this new part-time role of Programme Coordinator (Doctoral Programme) at Imperial College Business School. For the right candidate, this role presents an excellent opportunity to contribute to a developing and strategically important area of the Business School.
The Doctoral Programme aims to develop future academics across Finance, Economics, Innovation, Strategy, Organisational Behaviour, Entrepreneurship, Marketing and Operations. The five year programme comprises a Masters in Research (MRes) in the first year, designed to provide thorough research training through a suite of modules and independent research, in preparation for students starting their PhD in the second part of the programme.
We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our professional, busy and friendly team and help deliver high-quality programme support. Reporting to the Programme Manager you will be primarily responsible for the efficient coordination of the MRes programme and the provision of excellent administrative support. The post-holder will also support final year students preparing for the academic job market at relevant times of the year as they prepare their job packs.
Sharing our enthusiasm and ambition to deliver a programme of the highest quality, you will have proven experience of supporting a variety of stake-holders; of managing a demanding workload effectively and of responding flexibly to opportunities and challenges as they arise. Excellent time management, organisational and problem-solving skills are vital for this role, as is a strong focus on the student experience. You will have proven administration and IT skills and an interest in the use of technology in education. You must have the ability to use your own initiative and work with minimal supervision. You will need to demonstrate a pro-active attitude and ability to juggle several tasks confidently. Previous experience of working in higher education is highly desirable.
