The Department of Chemistry is looking for a Deputy Building Manager, primarily for one of its four buildings. Reporting to the Buildings Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the overseeing of all work carried out in the building and ensure that support services for research and teaching run efficiently. In the absence of the Building Manager you will assume full supervisory responsibility.
You will be qualified to HNC/HND or equivalent and have demonstrable experience in installing, repairing, and maintaining equipment for the building. You will have experience of carrying out mechanical or electrical repair work and good levels of computer literacy including Microsoft Office. Experience of supervising a small team and/or contractors within a Building Services is essential.
The post is based primarily in the Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory, South Parks Road, Oxford.
