We are looking to appoint a candidate who can provide outstanding professorial leadership to support and promote world-leading research in International Politics. The expanding Politics Unit is committed to achieving excellence in both research and teaching and has received substantial investment and will grow to 32 full-time staff by 2017, with 16 staff in the International Politics group. Politics at Newcastle has been first in the Russell Group for overall student satisfaction in the National Student Survey in three out of the last four years, has a thriving research environment and a growing reputation for exciting research in this area.
You will have an excellent record of published research in any area of International Politics. Experience of securing external research funding, and a collaborative approach to research alongside an international reputation in International Politics. You will deliver excellent teaching and will contribute to undergraduate or postgraduate teaching in Politics, as well as the supervision of research postgraduates.
