Applicants should have a relevant doctoral qualification and a demonstrable track record of successful teaching and learning in a Higher Education environment.
The successful candidate will be part of a staff team responsible for the planning, development and delivery of courses in International Development (alongside International Relations and Economics). The person appointed will carry out a teaching programme across a range of curriculum areas at different levels, and will be able to offer specialist modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. In addition, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to take on course leadership responsibilities and to engage in research and consultancy work as appropriate.
Candidates for the post should be enthusiastic, committed and highly motivated, able to take on course management responsibilities, and keen to take the subject area forward in line with the University’s internationalisation and social enterprise agendas. We would anticipate that the person appointed will be research active and willing to engage in collaborative projects to raise the research and consultancy profile of the subject area and the University.
