The salary will be paid at Grade 8, £49,772 to £57,674 per annum, plus £2,623 per annum London Allowance.
The Director of Distance Learning and Academic Lead for Technology Enhanced Learning is responsible for the development and implementation of a plan to significantly augment the Faculty’s distance and technology enhanced learning offer. This is a major growth area within the Faculty, and the Director will take the lead role in driving these expansion plans, identifying new opportunities, working with academic staff and content developers to implement new initiatives.
The appointment will be at Senior Lecturer grade. The post holder will be educated to doctoral level or equivalent and will have experience of the development and implementation of distance learning and online provision for different student communities. Knowledge of healthcare/bioscience education and the learning needs of healthcare/bioscience students is essential, as is a proven track record in research.
The selection process will include a presentation, and a panel interview.
