The Academic and Professional Development (APD) Specialist will lead in the development and support of effective use of the Pebblepad ePortfolio platform to support APD. The role holder will facilitate use of other e-learning technologies complimentary to APD such as video and Open Badging. The APD Specialist will provide advice, guidance and training to students and staff where appropriate to enhance the quality of related student experience through the appropriate use of Pebblepad and other contemporary and emerging educational technologies.
The APD Specialist will report to the Student Study Skills Coordinator within the Careers, Employability and Enterprise Centre (CEEC) and work closely with the Computing and Information Services (CIS) Education Team Learning Technologists and colleagues across the University.
The role will require knowledge of ePortfolios within a further or higher educational environment, foresight of technical change, experience of customer service delivery in an academic setting and the ability to convert business requirements into technical delivery.
