The University of Leicester is a world-leading institution, marked by a belief in the synergy of research and teaching. With over 23,000 students, including 4,300 from overseas, and 3,800 staff, including over 1,200 active researchers, we believe a university should empower, inspire and innovate. Under the leadership of our President and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Paul Boyle, the University is entering an exciting new phase of development with an ambitious and transformative agenda for 2020 and beyond.
In this role you will work with the group on their research objectives which are relevant to “LifeMap” which is a patented technology developed by the PI which creates an electrical map of sudden cardiac death (SCD) risk using the ECG in patients. Its use in wider patient population is being investigated in a multicentre clinical trial (MINERVA).
You will hold an honours degree in biomedical engineering or a related, relevant subject, and have recent experience in programming languages such as MATLAB or C. In addition you will have experience of ECG and intra-cardiac electrogram analysis among others. You will be enthusiastic and have effective interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work well as part of a team.
