We are looking to appoint a Research Associate to join The Open University Business School and former ‘Blue-Green Cities’ consortium to deliver on EPSRC funded research; ‘Urban Flood and Water Resilience in an Uncertain Future’. The focus of this post is in ‘collaborative governance’ themed avenues of research, translating new knowledge on flood risk management and resilience to the heart of urban planning practice. Working collaboratively with other academics across Universities, the Associate will play a key role in qualitative research design and delivery, in building relationships with case study stakeholders, in the organisation of workshops and further knowledge exchange activities. You will be an experienced researcher with a background in the planning and governance of flood risk and resilience (or strongly related area) and have an enthusiasm for action/participatory research. You will be located within the OU’s Department of Public Leadership and Social Enterprise (PuLSE), where colleagues take an inter-disciplinary approach to examining contemporary key governance, leadership and management challenges.
