Applications are invited for a Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship based in the Enterprise Research Centre at Warwick Business School. The person appointed will work with Professor Stephen Roper, Dr Stuart Fraser and Dr Kevin Mole on two projects relating to SME finance and business support. This position is part of the Enterprise Research Centre’s programme focusing on SMEs, innovation, productivity and business eco-systems. The post requires strong analytical and econometric skills and ideally experience of working with company survey data.
The Research Fellow will be involved actively in all aspects of the project including dataset maintenance and development, econometric estimation, and co-authoring and presenting conference and academic papers. The Research Fellow will also be expected to contribute actively to the impact strategy and wider dissemination of research results to stakeholders and policymakers.
The post holder should have, or be close to completing, a PhD in economics, econometrics or a related quantitative social science discipline. Knowledge of panel data econometrics is essential, as is a working knowledge of Stata. An understanding of the economics of SMEs is highly desirable.
If you have not yet been awarded your PhD but are near submission or have recently submitted your PhD, any offers of employment will be made as Research Assistant on level 5 of the University grade structure (£28,453). Upon successful award of your PhD and evidence of this fact, you will be promoted to Research Fellow on the first point of the level 6 of the University grade structure (£29,301).
The Enterprise Research Centre is a collaborative research centre led by Warwick and Aston Business Schools with Imperial, Strathclyde, Birmingham and Queen’s University School of Management as partner institutions.
