The Cambridge Commonwealth, European & International Trust is the largest provider of scholarships for students at the University of Cambridge, working with partners worldwide, to supports students of outstanding academic merit under a variety of scholarship schemes.
The Trust wishes to appoint an experienced Finance and Premises Officer (part-time 20 hours per week) to manage day to day financial matters, and the management of premises and health and safety.
The post holder will be responsible for sales and purchase processing, particularly invoicing funding partners for donations due, and payment of student maintenance and fees. The post holder will therefore need to gain a good understanding of donor agreements, and the Trust’s student database, as well as the University’s CamSIS system.
The premises part of the role involves responsibility for all matters relating to maintenance of the Trust’s premises, health and safety compliance and managing the IT hardware.
The successful candidate will have considerable experience using computerised accounting packages (knowledge of Sage would be an advantage) and have strong IT skills, particularly using Microsoft Excel, Word, and databases. Training on the Trust’s bespoke database will be provided.
The post holder must have considerable experience of sales and purchase ledger as well as previous experience of office/premises management, and also be experienced in managing health and safety compliance.
The Trust offers 28 days holidays per annum (pro-rata for part-time) and membership of a University pension scheme.
