Clinical Sciences and Nutrition

22 Hours per week

Fixed term contract until 26/08/2018

The Department of Clinical Sciences and Nutrition wish to appoint a laboratory technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support for all projects running in the clinical and tissue laboratories. This would include overseeing day to day operations, maintaining supplies, servicing equipment, developing new protocols and providing support and guidance for students and staff using the laboratories.

The successful candidate will have significant experience, and be proficient in biomedical/biochemical/cell biology techniques, particularly, ELISA and tissue/cell culture. You will also be expected to undertake phlebotomy training as part of the role. An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in a biological discipline (e.g. biomedical science, biochemistry, biological sciences) is desirable.
