We offer an exciting opportunity for a Production Animal vet with an enthusiasm for sharing their experience and knowledge with Veterinary Undergraduates. Key objectives for the post-holder will be the further development of their personal clinical skills and work towards postgraduate clinical qualifications (Certificate/Diploma) or a post-graduate qualification in in Veterinary Education. The School of Veterinary Medicine follows a distributed model for final year teaching and we are actively partnered with leading Production Animal Practices and Research Institutes whose clinicians participate in teaching throughout the undergraduate curriculum and in the provision of postgraduate training for staff and CPD delegates.
Ideally, the successful candidate will bring general practice experience of ruminant production systems, medicine and herd/flock health to compliment current expertise in white meat production and an exciting new senior appointment in evidence-based production animal medicine. The School offers state of the art teaching and research facilities. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop their own clinical and teaching expertise and to shape production animal teaching in our clinical curriculum.
The post holder will join our supportive teaching team who are dedicated to equipping the next generation of veterinarians to engage with the challenges of the 21stCentury.
