Applications are invited for a PhD studentship in the area of  Radio Circuits for Fifth Generation Mobile Communications. The work will be based within the Circuits and Systems Group in the Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering at Imperial College London.

The studentship will last for 3 years and includes a stipend of £16,500/year, plus an allowance for travel and subsistence. The studentship will also include tuition fees for Home and EU students. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Antennas and microwave circuits. Strengths in Mathematics, Signal Processing and good programming skills are also desirable. The candidate should have a First Class Honours MEng or or and MSc Degree with Distinction (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering. Strong candidates with a degree in experimental physics, or related subjects will also be considered. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.
