The Core Systems team underpins these new services, delivering essential systems and services across the infrastructure layer which provide the foundation for all IT services across the University.
We are looking for a Core Systems Engineer to join the team to provide this foundation and deliver expertise and innovation to ensure that the department is able to continue delivering these services and systems.
You will have:
- excellent knowledge of core IT infrastructure (such as storage, servers, email and collaboration tools);
- knowledge of Virtualisation Technologies and Hypervisors (VMware or Hyper-V);
- understanding of industry best practice relating to change and release management;
- ITIL Certification to at least Foundation Level or equivalent experience;
- experience in the management and development of centralised storage, server and services within a large and complex environment.
