The Post

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Building Services/Controls Engineer to take a leading role in the optimisation and development of the University’s BEMS and CHP systems. In April 2016, the University launched an ambitious new strategic plan for the five years 2016-2021 with key underpinning priorities of effectiveness and sustainability. Building on progress already made, the post holder will actively seek further reduction in our emissions and utility consumption by implementing improved control strategies and optimising the operating parameters associated with the University’s mechanical plant and equipment.

You will report to the University’s Senior Maintenance Manager within the Estates & Campus Services directorate and you will be an experienced engineer with a formal engineering qualification and a recognised electrical\controls engineering apprenticeship. You will have extensive knowledge and experience of electrical and mechanical services including HVAC, CHP and Trend control systems. You should have demonstrable technical, organisational and interpersonal skills together with drive, enthusiasm and ability to work with a high degree of autonomy within a fast paced 24\7 environment.
