Dorset Local Enterprise Partnership, a partnership between Dorset’s local authorities and businesses, determines local economic priorities for the region. Its key aim is to drive economic growth and job creation across Dorset.

Dorset is a great place to live and work and, as a partnership between business and local authorities, we are making it a better one. We are working together to deliver over £100m of investment to generate:

  • Up to £650m of additional local investment

We are now looking to expand our small team to provide a step change to our work and delivery. We require a ‘can do’ attitude and in return will offer outstanding experience. In addition to pragmatic, lateral thinking, you’ll also need a gift for stakeholder management. Excellent collaborative working and communication skills will help you influence at the highest levels. You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment where your ability to think strategically will be thoroughly tested.

As Skills Policy Manager you will have experience of national skills policy and local implementation. You will work effectively across a range of partners to help ensure Dorset businesses have access to people with the right skills sets to enable them to thrive. You will have an understanding and knowledge of the local Dorset economy, key policy and the political climate locally and nationally. You will also have an understanding of the key economic challenges facing the Dorset economy.
