£32,004 – £38,183 p.a. pro rata for 17.5 hours per week. Fixed term for 18 months.
Based in The University of Edinburgh’s Usher Institute of Population Health Sciences and Informatics, this post offers an exciting opportunity to work with the established Telescot Research Programme on an 18 month Chief Scientist Office funded project to look at the feasibility of running a video-consulting service in general practice.
The Programme is seeking a dynamic research fellow to design research protocols, recruit general practices, complete ethical approvals, provide technical assistance to participants, carry out interviews, focus groups and observations, collect NHS resource use data, to carry out data analysis (including in-depth analysis of video and audio recordings of consultations) and to undertake dissemination. Applicants must have at least a Masters level degree in a relevant area, substantial experience of conducting and analyzing research studies using qualitative methods, preferably including direct observation, experience of quantitative data collection methods and analysis, and knowledge of how general practice is organized and delivered.
The project is a collaboration between The Universities of Edinburgh, Warwick and Exeter. Regular travel within Lothian will be required.
