We are seeking a highly motivated project facilitator to join the Social, Economic and Geographical Sciences group (SEGS). This post will provide research support to members of the Social, Economic and Geographic Science Group (SEGS) to deliver the PLAID H2020 project (Peer-to-Peer Learning: Accessing Innovation Through Demonstration).
The successful candidate will support all aspects of PLAID project delivery - compiling an inventory of demonstration farms in the UK, overseeing inventory subcontractors in four other countries, organising project meetings and events, developing and up-dating data management and risk management plans, reporting to the consortium and the European Commission, and liaising with project participants across Europe to ensure that project deliverables are achieved in a timely manner.
The post holder will be expected to participate in inter- and trans-disciplinary teams both within Hutton and with H2020 partners across Europe in the delivery of planned research.
The candidate must have an MSc in a related-field to the project and proven strengths in written and verbal communication, data compilation and report writing. Previous project management experience and familiarity with social scientific research standards (e.g. ethics, data management) are essential. Familiarity with the structure and function of the UK agricultural sector would be beneficial.
This post will be based in Aberdeen, with occasional requirements to travel within Scotland and throughout Europe.
