Project Manager - IPSS ERDF Project

The Faculty of Science and Engineering (FSE) within the University of Wolverhampton seeks to engage with business and offer consultancy and collaboration opportunities that bring benefit to both parties. The University has been successful in securing a new contract for the Innovative Product Support Service (IPSS), which is providing part ERDF funded support to local companies to help them develop new products. To be eligible, companies must qualify as ‘Small or Medium Enterprises’ (SME’s) and be based within the Black Country, the Marches, Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire, Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership areas.

The Project Manager for this IPSS project will be responsible for managing the delivery of the project in compliance with funder requirements and also managing the activity carried out by our delivery partners at Aston University and Birmingham City University.

We are looking for a highly capable project manager with experience of ERDF funding and engaging with government audits (through the Department of Communities and Local Government). You will be highly organized and committed to successfully achieving the contracted goals and complying with funder requirements, particularly in areas like procurement, State Aid and ensuring the eligibility of beneficiaries.

You must have good personal communication skills and the ability to plan, promote and deliver events to a corporate audience.
