About the role:

Based in our Faculty of Science and Technology, the Department of Engineering and the Built Environment offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in architecture, civil engineering, construction/project management, quantity and building surveying, town planning and mechanical engineering. We’re committed to deliver world class research in the Built Environment and the City of the Future and we’re seeking to appoint two engineers to teach Civil/Structural and Infrastructure Engineering and to undergraduate and post graduate courses in Civil Engineering and the Built Environment.

A Chartered Engineer, you’ll have a PhD or Professional Doctorate (or nearing completion) in a related discipline, and teaching experience in Higher Education and/or professional practice. You’ll be committed to research and prepared to work as part of multi-disciplinary research teams as well as developing your personal research activities. You’ll possess excellent communications skills; demonstrate a flexible approach to work; and be prepared to travel as part of the job.
