Salary: £25,769 to £31,656 per annum, depending on skills and experience (minimum £28,982 with relevant PhD).
School of Life Sciences Postdoctoral Research Assistant (fixed-term) £25,769 – £31,656 (minimum with PhD £28,982) pro rata per annum depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this range is subject to performance.
Applications are invited for the above post in the School of Life Sciences within the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Nottingham. To conduct in vivo experiments into the effects of: (a) Receptor Tyrosine Kinase (RTK) ligands and inhibitors and (b) G protein coupled receptor (GPCR) receptor agonists, antagonists and allosteric ligands on the cardiovascular system. To explore the potential for imaging of the molecular mechanisms underlying these effects in different vascular beds in vivo and in isolated perfused vessels. This post will be within the unique Universities of Nottingham and Birmingham Centre of Membrane Proteins and Receptors.
Candidates should have or be close to completing a PhD or equivalent in Pharmacology or a related discipline along with a proven record of in vivo pharmacology research.
This full-time fixed-term post is available from 9th January 2017 for a period of eighteen months.
