The Faculty of Society & Health is one of the largest providers of nurse education across London, demonstrating a high quality of educational delivery and student outcome. The Faculty is committed to increase its research and innovation activity by extending its partnerships and securing increased research grants and innovation contracts. In this role, you will be joining a team of passionate academics and be pivotal to the expansion of nursing and allied health research and innovation programmes and to work with other senior researchers to grow this activity across the Faculty and University. We will look to you to lead, drive and enhance research and innovation initiatives across the Faculty and lead on the Faculty meeting the University’s RDAP and REF ambitions.
Developing and implementing plans in line with the strategic direction, you’ll actively enhance the applied research agenda and knowledge transfer activities. You will enjoy executive responsibility for the development, management and performance of the Faculty’s research portfolio, working closely with the PVC for Research & Enterprise. You will also be accountable for the strategic management of associated financial performance. We’ll expect you to drive external funding, forge strong relationships with diverse external partners and spearhead a range of high profile projects.
To be equal to the challenge, you’ll need to be an accomplished and inspirational leader with the credibility and capability to deputise for the Dean of Faculty in these areas. A compelling communicator, you have a flair for forging relationships, developing partnerships and increasing funding research and international research outputs.
