Job Purpose

To lead college-wide research support activity, including the management and development of Project Coordinators and Research Administrators to support Principal Investigators with all aspects of pre- and post-award research management support.

To establish a culture of continuous improvement for the effective and efficient research management service in the College, by managing research management support activities in fulfilment of the college’s research strategy.

To liaise with the University Services Head of Research Support to ensure that effective communication takes place to deliver a seamless research support service to Principal Investigators.

To contribute to the development of the College Research Strategy in collaboration with the Head of Research Support, Dean of Research and the Research and Knowledge Transfer Committee. 

Standard Terms & Conditions

Salary will be on the Management, Professional and Administrative Grade, level 9, £49,772 - £55,998 per annum.

New entrants to the University will be required to serve a probationary period of 6 months.

The successful applicant will be eligible to join the Universities’ Superannuation Scheme. Further information regarding the scheme is available from the Superannuation Officer, who is also prepared to advise on questions relating to the transfer of Superannuation benefits.
