Reporting to: Reception Manager/Office Administrator

Contractual Hours:  Monday to Friday (9am to 6pm/8am to 5pm)

Person specification

  • The post holder will be the first point of contact for all visitors to BIMM London and will have an important role in responding to students’ queries and concerns.  This will include booking tutorials, providing status letters, general administration in partnership with Student Services and informing students of daily news and information in respect of events and guests. We are looking for a professional, dynamic and friendly person who is able to communicate effectively and handle a wide variety of people. The post holder must understand and recognise the importance of the front desk and maintain professional practice at all times. We expect the reception team to be able to build a good rapport with the staff and students at the college and therefore a creative background may be an advantage, although not essential.

Essential criteria for applicant

  • Good interpersonal skills and customer service skills
  • Good telephone manner
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Strong Word, Excel and Outlook skills
  • Excellent personal presentation
  • Excellent timekeeping

Desirable criteria for applicant

  • Knowledge of music / music industry
  • Experience working in an educational environment
